The Westminster Operations Center located in Carroll County, Maryland (30 minutes from the greater Baltimore area) has an outstanding paid internship opportunity in our Operations Services department.
This unique position involves collaborating with people across the organization in support of our objective to strengthen the world's largest general trade book publisher by having the best supply chain in the publishing industry.
Some recent projects include developing distribution network models for $100M fulfillment operation, implementing a new transportation management system and constructing a 190k square foot building.
This position offers tremendous opportunity for growth while learning the ins and outs of the publishing industry's leading supply chain.

A resourceful, detail-oriented individual with strong problem solving skills, effective communication skills, and proficient organizational skills will be very successful in this role.
This specific position requires exceptional analytical and problem solving skills. You will analyze existing processes, identify process improvement opportunities and develop new processes to support potential avenues for company growth.
Excellent PC skills and experience creating/using complex formulas in Excel are essential.
You will lead analyses and projects that focus on fulfillment operations; some of which will require working in the warehouse, performing time studies, developing flow charts and creating/testing system enhancements. Some daily activities include ad hoc reporting, Warehouse Management System testing, providing quotes for custom processing and calculating productivity metrics.
