Publicity Assistant, Vintage/Anchor Penguin Random House has a wonderful opportunity for a Publicity Assistant to join Vintage/Anchor Books, imprints of Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group. Vintage/Anchor Books are the trade paperback imprints of the Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group. Vintage/Anchor is known as an industry-leading paperback publisher, with a roster of authors that includes Stieg Larsson, Dan Brown, Margaret Atwood, Cheryl Strayed, Alice Munro, Richard Russo, Jon Krakauer, Jhumpa Lahiri, Paulo Coelho, Toni Morrison, Cormac McCarthy, Haruki Murakami, Jo Nesbo, and Dave Eggers, among others. The Publicity Assistant provides administrative and project support to several publicity professionals.

Experience in book publishing is highly beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities include:

• Helping to implement book publicity campaigns

• Managing event logistics

• Creating travel itineraries

• Coordinating communications efforts

• Creating publicity materials such as press releases and press kits

• Social media support

Requirements:

• Candidates must have demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

• Strong communication and organization skills

• Understanding and interest in social media

• Exceptional attention to detail

• The ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic environment.

Salary for this position is $40,000. Full-time employees are eligible for our comprehensive benefits program. Kindly include your resume and cover letter.
